3D™ for Natuzzi

From BYBORRE’s first discussions with Natuzzi, it was evident that the fabrics that BYBORRE developed for Natuzzi needed to embody the heart and soul of Puglia, Italy.

The DNA of Natuzzi lies within the landscape of Puglia, a region famous for cascading groves of olive trees, limestone houses, and crashing waves, all of which have been around for centuries. From BYBORRE’s first discussions with Natuzzi, it was evident that the fabrics that BYBORRE developed for them needed to embody the heart and soul of this region of Italy.

BYBORRE believes in a radical approach to textiles – an opportunity to move forward in a different way. By thinking about the future of people and the planet, BYBORRE is finding new ways to create quality, custom, and sustainable fabrics.

To facilitate Natuzzi’s desire to bring a new set of knitted, interior fabrics to the Natuzzi selection, BYBORRE started the development of a unique 3D™ fabric, starting first by understanding how the fabric will be used and by who. Natuzzi’s dedication to timeless interior pieces meant that along with being aesthetically beautiful and comfortable, the fabric needed to stand the test of time.

The outcome was a fabric that embodied Natuzzi’s love for the sea, with artwork that captured the continuous movement of the ocean’s water. Knitted with a blend of the highest quality European yarns, including wool blended yarns from ZKS and recycled PES from Sinterama. The blend of these yarns makes for a highly functional and long lasting interior fabric to be used in luxurious interior pieces to stand in spaces around the world.

From the yarn to the final couches and beyond, these pieces carry a strong story of the heritage of Puglia, Italy developed into an iconic, innovative knit.
